Guest speaker is Kristin L. Fraser MD, FRCPC.
Dr. Fraser graduated from Queen’s University in 1992 and completed her training in Internal Medicine and Respirology at the University of Toronto in 1997. She studied Sleep Medicine at the University of Toronto in 1999. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Calgary in the Department of Medicine. She is the former Sleep Lab Director at the Foothills Medical Centre and currently is the program director of the Sleep Medicine Fellowship in Calgary. Her active research is in the use of human patient simulators in undergraduate medical education.
Dr. Fraser will speak on Respiratory problem in Post Polio survivors.
The Southern Alberta Post Polio Support Society was formed in 1988.
The mission of the Society is:
Develop AWARENESS, communication and education between the Society, Medical Profession and the Community
DISSEMINATE INFORMATION concerning research and treatment of Post Polio Syndrome
SUPPORT Post Polio Survivors other than through direct financial aid.
